How natural does scalp micropigmentation look?
When designed and applied appropriately, SMP is intended to replicate the appearance of closely shaved hair follicles or reduce the contrast of visible scalp beneath thinning hair. Hairline design, pigment selection, density and blending all influence how natural the final result appears.
How many SMP sessions will I need?
Most treatments are built progressively across multiple sessions. The exact number depends on the treatment area, existing hair, skin, desired density and how the scalp responds during healing.
Does scalp micropigmentation fade over time?
Yes. SMP gradually softens over time due to factors such as skin characteristics, sun exposure, lifestyle and the natural aging of the pigment. Periodic touch-ups may be recommended to maintain the desired appearance.
Can SMP help with thinning hair?
Yes. Density SMP can reduce the visual contrast between the scalp and existing hair, helping thinning areas appear fuller without trying to replace individual strands of hair.
Can you correct SMP done by another artist?
